What to do if the fire alarm sounds
Carry Out Your Prescribed Fire Alarm Drill!

Establish the cause of the alarm.
A red light will be lit in the zone activated, look this up in the zone chart and if it is safe make your way to this area. The device in alarm will have a red LED showing.
If it was established that this was a false alarm, when it is safe to do so you can silence and reset the system as follows.

Insert and turn key clockwise.
If you don't have the key press 8737 or 1111 then enter.
(Controls enabled light will come on and you now have access to the four red buttons.)

Press Silence Alarms.
(Sounders will turn off.)

Press Reset.
(All indicator lights will go off.)

If the panel goes back into alarm repeat steps 1, 2 & 3 then call out an engineer, otherwise move onto step 5.

Turn key anticlockwise.
(Controls enabled light will turn off.)
Important: If in doubt call the Fire Brigade.

Establish the cause of the alarm.
A red light will be lit in the zone activated, look this up in the zone chart and if it is safe make your way to this area. The device in alarm will have a red LED showing.
If it was established that this was a false alarm, when it is safe to do so you can silence and reset the system as follows.

Insert and turn key clockwise, or make sure that the lock position is at “ON”.
(Controls should now be enabled, and you now have access to the buttons.)

Press “SILENCE ALARM”.
(Sounders will turn off.)

Press twice “SILENCE BUZZER”.
(The panel will stop beeping.)

Press “RESET”.
(All indicator lights will go off, and the panel will activate a long beep.)

If the panel goes back into alarm repeat steps 2, 3 & 4, then call out an engineer, otherwise move onto step 6.

Turn key anti-clockwise.
(To position “OFF” to disable controls.)

(“Accessed” light will come on and you now have access to the four red buttons.)

Press “Silence/resound sounders” (the red button).
(Sounders will turn off.)

Press “Silence internal sounder” (the white button).
(Panel sounder will turn off.)

Press “Control panel reset” (the green button).
(All indicator lights will go off.)

If the panel goes back into alarm repeat steps 3 & 4 then call out an engineer, otherwise move onto step 6.

Turn key anti-clockwise.
(Accessed light will turn off.)
